Pink Eye Symptoms
Typical viral pink eye symptoms are swollen eyelids and watery discharge along with the typical cold symptoms.
Symptoms of pink eye due to a bacterial infection include a yellow or green heavy discharge, sensitivity and soreness as well as strong redness in the white area of the eye.
The symptoms of pinkeye in infants should be treated even if it is the viral type, which in the case of adult pink eye should go away on it's own after about 7-10 days.
Pink eye symptoms can be very unpleasant even though pinkeye itself is usually relatively harmless.
